The Last Stop Tackle Shop

We're a small shop in a farmyard in the most Southerly point on mainland Britain Britain and offer a wide range of sea fishing tackle to suit every pocket.
dylan
The shop was born in July 2012 to help our many young local anglers but we soon decided to do a proper job and offer a quality, personal service for all who enjoy sea fishing.

We're open throughout the year although in the winter when it's cold and during times of inclement weather we may be a few minutes away by the phone in the warm at home.

calvinDespite our small size we try to offer exceptional value on sea fishing essentials and many visitors are amazed that such a small shop (about 18 x 8 feet) carries such a large and varied stock and have variously described us as a 'treasure' or 'hidden gem'.  Great news - We have moved into larger premises on the track to the front of the farmyard and now have room for more than just a couple of customers.
We do not have an online shop like the 'big boys' but can offer a postal/PayPal service at sensible prices - simply contact us and we'll see what we can do.

We are at the tip of a beautiful and largely unexplored area of the County with enviable access to exciting boat and shore fishing opportunities. We benefit from having the sea on three sides and can avoid the worst of wind and sea conditions. Some marks are easily accessible but we try to remind everyone that there is no such thing as a safe place where the sea is concerned. rlni

This area relies heavily on emergency services such as the RLNI, the Coastguards, Culdrose air sea rescue and the unfunded Coastwatch service at Bass Point (our chosen charity- you're welcome to fill the collection box on the counter).

We also ask everyone to respect the area by taking their litter away with them and encourage 'catch and release' fishing to preserve stocks. Details of minimum fish sizes are available in the shop and at this link.

For everyday activity at the tackle shop we encourage you to click here and keep up to date(and like) our facebook page.

What people have said about the Last Stop Tackle Shop ................

Gary E J Hazell mentioned us on his Tales by the Riverbank site Auguust 2013...... "The most southerly tackle shop I found was on the Lizard, this being run by Philip and aptly called The Last Stop. This gem of a find is tucked away in an out building of a farm-yard  and had a more than adequate array of tackle that could more than answer the needs of the most discerning bass fisher"
